History behind the song & how it made it on the EMS Top 40 Charts
Back in May of 2002, T. Paul Matson was approached by Victor Gray (Cobweb Records) & Stuart Cameron (Hot Disc/Radio
Caroline) about placing one
of T. Paul's songs on the June
2002 HOT DISC.
The song chosen was called
" I WON'T FALL DOWN" which was written in protest of the dishonest nature of the American Music Industry (Nashville) and the industry people who run it. SEE BIOGRAPHY FOR MORE
DETAILS
In 1997, T. Paul had been invited to record 6 songs in Nashville by the former Manager of a prominent Country Band.
Muscians hired for these recordings included the members of Lorretta Lynn's band, the Grande Ole Opry's Fiddle Player and other very talented
musicians.
As the recordings progressed,
the Manager & the producer
became at odds with one another over who would sign T. Paul to an Exclusive management agreement. Each tried to secretly convince T. Paul to sign an
exclusive management agreement without the knowledge of the other person.
